I am very excited that the new UberQuirky website is up and running and I hope you agree-looking fantastic party ideas. A huge thanks to everyone who worked on the site.
I’ve been busy planning a special birthday party for my other half. I love throwing parties and gatherings, having the opportunity to decorate and incorporate quirky ideas. We went for an 80s theme with a Tiki bar kitchen, Cinema inspired hallway and Neon disco living room. It took us weeks to prepare and we are still finding glow sticks and cocktail umbrellas 2 weeks later. The party was strictly fancy dress as all good parties should be. I dressed as Betelgeuse (Beetlejuice) and Tim was Ferris Bueller and we definitely had more than two blues brothers.
I created an 80s notice board; Tiki drinks signs and even Wall Street inspired 80s dollar bills, featuring the birthday boy!
My inspiration and some pictures can be found on my ALOHA! Pin board.
I’m currently working on a variety of items for clients, including a wedding gift and a logo image. My next wedding designs are inspired by a childhood highlight of mine. The great British summertime is notorious for being unpredictable and mainly wet, so I spent many summer days in the dark of the seaside arcades. As a self-confessed “claw” game addict, I thought this would be a fun and colourful range for wedding stationery. Fun and unique, perhaps for summer weddings, carnival or vintage themed events. Keep an eye on the wedding section for these as they are added, initial pinball design can be seen below.
